South Australia: where is the notice?
SA Tenders and Contracts carries South Australian Government agencies, health networks, and statutory enterprises. Access is free. The Industry Advocate’s requirements and economic-benefit commitments follow covered procurements; read the pack’s schedules for what evidence they demand, not a remembered summary. State agency work is one thing; SA councils are another; their rules stay on council tenders.
Tasmania: where is the notice?
Tenders TAS (Winning Work) carries Tasmanian Government departments, hospital networks, and state enterprises including Hydro Tasmania. Registration is free. The Buy Local Policy requires compliance declarations on state-funded contracts: prepare the declaration before the gate, not during review week. An island supply chain is a delivery fact: freight, mobilisation, and local presence belong in the price.
ACT: where is the notice?
The Australian Capital Territory procures as a territory government; there are no local-government councils in the ACT in the sense the eastern states use the word. Notices run through the ACT’s official tender board at tenders.act.gov.au; confirm the address against a live notice before relying on it, as territory systems migrate. Territory policy, not council policy and not Commonwealth rules, governs. Verify the instrument named in the pack.
Northern Territory: where is the notice?
The Northern Territory runs Quotations and Tenders Online at tendersonline.nt.gov.au: current, closed, awarded, and future opportunities are browsable, with free account registration for responding. Local content and Aboriginal enterprise participation commonly appear as weighted or mandatory elements: read the pack for which, and evidence accordingly. Remoteness is the delivery fact that decides these bids; mobilisation priced as metro rates is how NT pursuits lose money.
What does this mean for the bid/no-bid call?
An interstate firm bidding a smaller jurisdiction without local delivery evidence is bidding a participation criterion it cannot score. The national directory is where tenders are published; the state routes for the larger jurisdictions are NSW, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia. Pick the board, read the policy, evidence the local content, or no-bid in week one.
